I’m just a normal mom with an amazing husband, living a life for God, raising a family, and trying to keep up with everyone’s schedules. If I can get my daughters to gymnastics on time and cook a real meal for dinner, it’s a good day.
I enjoy cooking, reading, spending time with my church family and playing pretend with my kids. I was a theatre major in college so I often quote movie lines and sing songs from musicals. I improv here at home and it makes me a very embarrassing mother. You will also find me singing and dancing to 80’s/90’s music at various and sundry times, which my children LOVE…well, everyone except my 10yo. Welcome to my online journal. If my writing helps to inform or inspire anyone about adoption…well, it’s more than I could have ever asked for. May it be used for God’s glory because I love Him so!
We have three homegrown children and two from China. Lily came to us in 2010 from Guangxi at the age of 2, and Judah is from Guangdong at the age of 6. For more info. on how our adoption journey began look at the first links on the “Lily’s Story” page.
We never imagined we would be bringing home a little boy to our estrogen-filled family, but we couldn’t be more excited about it. We hope you enjoy reading about our anything but loKEY life!
